Dear Stop Elara Project Participants:

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating fires in our communities, as well as our deepest appreciation to the first responders for their valiant and ongoing efforts during this difficult time.

Since launching the Stop Elara GoFundMe campaign on December 12, 2024, we have received $25,867.59 from 186 generous donors. Thank you for your unwavering support as we continue this important fight.

Our volunteers have reached out to over a dozen law firms in search of representation for the Stop Elara Project. Unfortunately, due to conflicts of interest or a lack of specialized expertise, none of the firms have been able to take on the case. If you know any attorneys or firms specializing in land use law, please share their contact information by emailing us at stopelara@gmail.com. Our volunteers are ready to reach out and connect with them immediately.

We have received inquiries about using the campaign funds to assist families impacted by the fires and support the first responders. While we understand the desire to help, our primary focus remains on stopping the Elara Project. The funds raised will continue to cover expenses related to our advocacy efforts, such as printing flyers and banners, social media and website promotion, and legal costs.

For folks looking to contribute to fire relief efforts, there are specific organizations across Southern California actively seeking donations for the victims. We encourage you to do your research and be cautious of scammers before making any contributions.
